This high-sensitivity reagent delivers precise results and is critical for ensuring the safety of injectable drugs, medical devices, and biological materials, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

Product Overview

The rCR is a recombinant enzyme system that mimics the reaction mechanism of conventional Limulus Amebocyte Lysate reagents. The system contains recombinant Factor C, Factor B, and proclotting enzyme. Unlike conventional reagents, the rCR system does not contain Factor G, thereby effectively avoiding interference from β-D-glucan and Limulus Amebocyte Lysate-reactive material (LAL-RM) during endotoxin testing.

When endotoxin is present in the sample, recombinant Factor C recognizes and activates Factor B, which subsequently activates the proclotting enzyme and converts it into the active clotting enzyme. This enzyme then cleaves a chromogenic peptide substrate, releasing a color-generating signal that can be detected by a microplate reader, thereby enabling quantitative determination of endotoxin concentration in the sample.
