The Lane Marker Non-Reducing Sample Buffer from MtoZ Biolabs is a next-generation sample buffer engineered with a proprietary transferable tracking dye that enables full visualization of both electrophoresis and transfer steps, significantly simplifying and optimizing the Western Blot workflow.
Product Overview
During SDS-PAGE and Western Blot workflows, traditional sample buffers provide limited functionality and frequently introduce workflow inefficiencies and uncertainty:
1. Limited Migration Tracking
Standard bromophenol blue dyes produce weak or diffuse dye fronts within the gel, and the issue becomes more pronounced in thicker gels or rapid electrophoresis systems, preventing accurate visual timing control.
2. No Immediate Transfer Quality Verification
Conventional dyes do not transfer to membranes, leaving researchers unable to verify transfer direction, assess transfer efficiency, or ensure even transfer until antibody probing is completed, eliminating the possibility of early-step quality control.
3. Restricted Sample Loading Flexibility
The common 2X buffer format limits the amount of raw protein sample that can be added per well. For low-concentration samples, this often requires pre-concentration or sacrificing loading volume, compromising the detection of low-abundance proteins.
4. Staining Compatibility Concerns
Some dyes interfere with downstream Coomassie or silver staining, or are incompatible with fluorescence detection systems, limiting multi-modality workflows.
Advantages
✅ Full Visualization of Electrophoretic Migration
The Lane Marker Non-Reducing Sample Buffer from MtoZ Biolabs incorporates a bright, high-contrast pink tracking dye that provides a clear and reliable leading front throughout electrophoresis, enabling precise control of separation time.
✅ Unique Transferable Dye for Transfer Validation
The same pink dye co-transfers to PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes during blotting, providing an immediate QC readout for transfer orientation, transfer uniformity, and lane alignment. This significantly streamlines downstream membrane handling, cutting, and Western Blot analysis.
✅ 5X High-Concentration Formulation for Improved Loading Flexibility
Unlike traditional 2X sample buffers, MtoZ Biolabs’ 5X buffer allows a larger proportion of raw sample to be loaded per well, greatly benefiting low-abundance or dilute samples and eliminating the need for pre-concentration steps.
✅ Broad Staining Compatibility
The Lane Marker Non-Reducing Sample Buffer is fully compatible with Coomassie staining, silver staining, and standard Western Blot assays without interfering with subsequent detection. (Important note: Due to its dye chemistry, this product is not compatible with fluorescence-based Western Blot systems.)
